Umami in Russellville

We tried the Wonderboy roll today!! It was fantastic!! It comes out with a flame under it!! Super cool!!

We are a vegetarian household and ordered all meatless items from the menu. When we brought it home there was meat in the spring rolls which wasn't specified on the menu. The vegetable fried rice had shredded chicken in it as well as the vegetables and noodles. When I called and asked for compensation I was basically extended an I.O.U and treated with indifference about the whole ordeal. I will not be returning to this establishment.

I've been to umamis a few times with my fiance we've always left happy. The food is delicious and the sushi is the best I've had, that being said it is one of the more expensive menus in russellville. They have a good selection of beer and decent choice of wine. The cocktails on menu are pretty sparse and generally too strong on the alcohol end, and again not cheap most cocktails are 8 bucks each.But if you have the money and want to treat yourself to a good meal then go to umamis

This is a casual, but classy sushi bar/hibachi grill. Love this place!!! I've had several menu items and I've never had anything i didn't like. I haven't found anything that wasn't fresh, well prepared, and served professionally. Great to go for special occasions or just for lunch!

Theres definitely a new cook or something. This place is cheap compared to Conways-but the food now is so weird tasting.

Just went for the very first time today. It was excellent! Loved the bento box lunch choices. Mine was the salmon and I enjoyed every bite of it. Plus there was enough to take home and munch on for later. The prices are higher but eating at lunch time really helps.

Best food I have ever had !! Logan was great quick with drinks and food. I recommend this to any one who likes Sushi.

We've never had a bad experience here. Our service is always very friendly and attentive. I wouldn't say that the food is super authentic. Its actually pretty Americanized, but still delicious. The shrimp tempura Udon soup is one of my favorites!

Decided to try the Japanese Curry and added some chicken. Service and food were incredible. This was a few months ago I just decided to review after going back. Highly recommend

Don't expect good quality food from anywhere else. Although a little pricey, it is worth every penny you spend. The staff is friendly, the food is amazing...why haven't you set your GPS for it's address yet?

Great salad with lots of ginger dressing. Nice and warm edamame (add some sea salt on them would be even better). Spicy tuna and salmon rolls were good. The quality of sashimi was very fresh and presentation was very good. The sushi rice had just the right amount of vinegar and stickiness. Super friendly and quick service. Visited multiple times and will definitely go back again. 5 star!

Never had a bad experience here. I have a sensitive stomach & This is the only Japanese restaurant that doesn’t hurt my stomach! Always fresh, a great price and enough food for lunch! I always get the Hibachi ribeye steak with fried rice and double yum yum sauce with ginger salad. Would recommend this Japanese place over any other!

Texas brother sushi roll, Manhattan roll, Tropical roll, and Yumi roll are the best!

My food was burnt and our waiter spilled my salad. The restaurant is incredibly small too. I won't go back.

Umami boldly stands above the crowd in Russellville with the best sushi in the River valley. The Fire Bang shrimp is second to none.

Always delicious sushi is fresh, steak seasoned perfect...always something new to eat and never dissappointed.

Ordered through bite squad ... thank goodness bite squad refunded me some... didn't get miso soup due to restaurant mistake ... ordered spring rolls, I got egg rolls

Great food, just a little smoky inside. Could use a better vent where they're cooking. Our waiter was awesome!

Umami is always good. I have never had a bad experience or ordered something I didn't enjoy. The owner knows what she's doing and runs a tight ship and it shows. The place is clean and, despite ALWAYS being busy, runs fairly smoothly. The updated lighting worked wonders for it this year. Major props to all the staff and their hard work.

Ugh. This place used to be fantastic! Now, not so much. Overpriced for amount of food given and didn't even taste good. We won't be back.

The best Asian food in town! Fire wok edamame and gyoza are two of my favorite appetizers. All hibachi meals are wonderful and plentiful! Pepper steak is awesome. Try the Umami Lemonade it's wonderful!

One of the best places to eat in this area. If you like sushi and Japanese food then this is a wonderful place. Often busy, so be prepared to wait a few minutes. The place is tiny and tight inside so be prepared to be surrounded. The staff is quick and friendly. The price is very fair especially if compared to say Little Rock.

This a good place to eat. It's always busy here so it is a noisy place but the food is good and fast. They offer bento boxes for a little variety. This is a great place to go for a nice, quick lunch.

Good food & service as always, it is top notch. Better arrive very soon after opening otherwise you will be standing in line. It generally fills up within minutes of opening.

Really good food great prices and generous portions. nice enviorment, family friendly and excellent sushi. The Staff is great and is very helpful especially when trying new items. Only giving four stars because the drinks on occasion are sub par not all the time just sometimes. Will be back probably many many times.

Great Sushi and Traditional Japanese Hibatchi food! Service was great and the bartender funny and attentive. Having a work dinner there this week as a result of our experience!

We don't eat here often because of the price but the food is amazing. The ramen is awesome but don't be surprised because there is no broth with this. Definitely doesn't taste like a 25¢ pkg of ramen either. Their shrimp tempura is amazing and my friend swears by the salmon hibachi. It may be a bit pricey but the portions are large and it's plenty of food. The staff is very friendly as well.

Best sushi in the area. A must have dinner when I'm in the area.

This is a great place to take your girl on a date. Dim lit environment. The sushi 🍣 here is great I never complain. The Hibachi is very good here too. With portions that should last you a couple meals. They do have a few things that aren't on the online menu that are good. Price is alittle high but you get lots of food with is so it evens out.

I brought my friends from Oklahoma to Umami's and they said that this was the best tasting Japanese restaurant they have ever been to, and they even lived in Japan! Try the fried green beans, the fire bang shrimp, and all sushi rolls with yum yum sauce is so good, I have never had a bad thing there.

Excellent sushi. Had a lobster roll, tako and hand rolled spicy tuna roll. Fresh and tasty and not too hard on the wallet.

The best service and food. The Yumi Yumi, Wonder Boy, and Wonder Girl rolls are all delicious! Habachi Shrimp has a generous amount of large shrimp. Fresh food, clean restaurant. Love it! Amy is a great cook!

Yummy yummy roll is my favorite thing ever!

I went out with coworkers and was a little horrified that we were going to a sushi restaurant in Russelville, Arkansas. I did not have high expectations for the evening.I was very pleasantly surprised. The draft beer I ordered was served in an odd metal glass which it quickly warmed up in, but the sushi sampler was quite good. This restaurant is one I will definitely be going back to.

We got some sushi and it was good I'll give them that, but when we got home.... It made us sick.

Service was super fast and plenty of food. But food was warm not hot. Almost like it was already made and been sitting under a warmer. But I must say it was best sushi I've had in the Russellville area. Over all first impression was good, I will go back for sure.
